Prams and strollers have a three year warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase, whether you register or not. Most other accessories have two years.
How long
- Three years: prams and strollers, bouncers, high chairs, portacots, swings and bassinets, plus the RumbleSeat, Changing Station and PiggyBack.
- Two years: all other accessories.
- Mesa car capsule: a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser. It covers the capsule's 10 year life.
What we do about a defect
We supply replacement parts or carry out repairs, whichever we determine is appropriate. Some parts may be replaced with newer model parts as the product is improved over time.
Conditions
- Proof of purchase from an authorised retailer, showing the retailer and the date, is required for every claim.
- Registration does not extend the warranty.
- The warranty is valid only in the country of purchase. UPPAbaby will not ship replacement or repair parts outside the country of purchase, so a pram bought overseas is not covered here.
- The warranty is not transferable. It extends only to the original retail purchaser. Lifetime Service Support does pass to a second owner, as long as the pram has not previously been deemed unsafe.
What the warranty does not cover
- Defects caused by misuse or poor maintenance
- Damage caused by improper installation of UPPAbaby parts or accessories
- Corrosion, mould or rust caused by poor maintenance, servicing or storage
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage or degradation caused by sun, sweat, detergents, damp storage or frequent washing
- Repairs or modifications carried out by a third party
- Products bought from an unauthorised retailer
- Second owners, and anyone other than the original purchaser
- Damage caused by airline shipping and handling
- Products that have been involved in an accident
Car accidents and air travel
If your Mesa capsule or Mesa base was in a vehicle during an accident, stop using it and claim under the Crash Exchange Program within 30 days of the accident. The Crash Exchange Program covers only the Mesa capsule and Mesa base, never prams or strollers.
Airline damage is covered only through the TravelSafe Program, if you registered an UPPAbaby travel bag and your gear before you flew.
Servicing
Every UPPAbaby pram is eligible for free maintenance checks for up to ten years from the original purchase date, at Tune-Up Days around Australia. You do not need to have bought it from us or registered it.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
This warranty sits on top of your rights under Australian Consumer Law. It does not replace them and cannot reduce them.
