How do lay-by and UPPside Rewards work?

Lay-by lets you secure your order with a 20% deposit and pay the rest over up to four months, with no interest. UPPside Rewards is our free loyalty programme: you earn points on purchases made directly with UPPAbaby Australia and spend them as a discount at checkout.

Lay-by at a glance

• Deposit: at least 20%, paid within 24 hours of the deposit invoice. If it is not paid in time, the order is cancelled.
• Term: up to four months (16 weeks) from the date of purchase.
• Payments: no fixed schedule and no interest. Pay whatever suits, as long as the balance clears in time.
• Minimum order and other dollar figures: see the lay-by page.
• Dispatch: your order ships, or is ready to collect, once the lay-by is paid in full.
• Add-ons such as a Mesa, RumbleSeat or bassinet can go on the same lay-by.
• Rewards points: lay-by orders earn UPPside Rewards points, but only when paid through the checkout on our website.

What cannot go on lay-by

Clearance and discontinued models, damaged box sales, special orders, gift cards, and any bundle that includes one of these. Lay-by holds stock for four months, which a runout line cannot do.

How to start a lay-by

Start at the checkout:

1. Shop as normal and add everything to your bag.
2. At the payment step, choose Lay-by instead of a card. Nothing is charged at this point.
3. We email your deposit invoice the same business day. Pay at least 20% within 24 hours.
4. Pay off the balance in whatever instalments suit, within four months.

If you cancel

A cancellation fee of 20% of the order applies if you cancel, or if the lay-by is not paid off within four months. If four months looks tight, it may be worth waiting and ordering closer to the time.

Lay-by agreements are covered by Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a written copy of the terms, and they cannot change after you start without your agreement. If we cancel because we can no longer supply the goods, everything you have paid is refunded in full, with no fee.

UPPside Rewards: the tiers

Joining is free, with no card, no annual fee and no minimum spend. Your tier is set by your total spend across a membership year.

• Newborn (from the day you join): 1 point per $1 spent, a birthday reward and early access to sales and promotions.
• Toddler ($1,500 total spend): 1 point per $1 spent, $10 off when you reach the tier, a birthday reward, first access to offers and new launches, invitations to earn double points on selected products, and free express shipping.
• Big Kid ($2,500 total spend): 2 points per $1 spent, $20 off when you reach the tier, a birthday reward, first access to offers and new launches, invitations to earn triple points on selected products, free express shipping, VIP previews with a gift on purchase, invitations to exclusive events and priority customer service.

Earning points

You earn points on every qualifying purchase made directly with UPPAbaby Australia, at your tier's rate. You can also earn points without buying anything:

• 1,000 points for adding your child's birthday
• 200 points for writing a product review
• 100 points for following on Instagram or liking on Facebook
• bonus points each time you move up a tier, and on surprise campaigns
• lay-by orders, when paid through the checkout on our website

Refer a friend

Share your referral link from your account. Your friend gets $10 off their first order with UPPAbaby Australia, and you get $30 once their order has completed and passed the returns window. Referral credit cannot be earned on your own orders or on orders to the same household address.

Spending points

Points convert to a discount at checkout: every 100 points is worth $2 off your order.

• Purchases from retailers do not earn points. Only purchases made directly with UPPAbaby Australia count.
• Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold.
• Points on a returned order are reversed with the refund.
