
Every UPPAbaby pram sold in Australia complies with the mandatory Australian standard, AS/NZS 2088:2000. They are also tested to the current edition, AS 2088:2022 including Amendment 1:2024.
The standards
In Australia, Consumer Protection Notice No. 8 of 2007 makes the pram and stroller standard law. It sets the mandatory standard on AS/NZS 2088:2000.
UPPAbaby prams are also tested to AS 2088:2022 including Amendment 1:2024, the current edition of that standard. Test reports are held by the Australian distributor.
UPPAbaby prams are fully endorsed by INPAA, the Infant & Nursery Product Alliance Australia, the industry body for nursery product safety.
Materials
Fabrics and leathers are tested free of lead, DEHP, azo dyes, formaldehyde and PFAS.
The Mesa car capsule
The Mesa sold in Australia is approved to AS/NZS 1754 as a Type A2 rearward-facing infant restraint. It is low birthweight tested and approved, and CASA approved for aircraft use.
