Kona: what we know before it launches in Australia

The Kona launches in Australia in October 2026. It is a mid-size pram for one child, from birth to 22.7 kg, and the only UPPAbaby pram that folds with the seat facing either way.

• Suits: from birth, as sold, up to 22.7 kg. The seat lies flat for a newborn.
• Seat: reversible, so it faces you or faces out, with a four-position recline.
• Weight: 9.9 kg with the seat on.
• Width: 53.3 cm.
• Folded: 34.0 x 53.3 x 65.5 cm with the seat on. It folds with one hand, stands on its own and has a carry handle in the frame.
• Ride: suspension on every wheel and never-flat tyres.
• Basket: 13.6 kg.

Bassinet and capsules

The UPPAbaby bassinet and the Mesa capsule click straight onto the Kona, no adapter needed.

A capsule from another brand needs the Kona car seat adapters. Only these models fit:

• Maxi-Cosi Mico AP / Mico Plus
• Maxi-Cosi Citi
• Maxi-Cosi Mico 12 and Mico 12LX (manufactured after 20 April 2022)
• Nuna PIPA
• Nuna KLIK Plus
• Joie i-Gemm
• The Britax B-Pod and B-Pod Lite do not fit the Kona.

One child

The Kona carries one child. It does not take a second seat. A Kona PiggyBack board, for an older child to stand on, is coming soon.

Kona or Cruz V3?

Both take one child from birth as sold, carry a 13.6 kg basket and take the bassinet and the Mesa with no adapter. The Kona is about two kilograms lighter and four centimetres narrower, and it folds with the seat on facing either way. See the comparison.
