How do I fold my UPPAbaby pram without damaging it?

Brake on, basket light, bassinet or second seat off, seat facing forward in its second most upright position, then follow the steps for your model. Many avoidable repairs come from folding a pram the wrong way.

Before any fold

  • Put the brake on.
  • Take anything heavy out of the basket.
  • Take off the bassinet, a RumbleSeat or a capsule.
  • Turn the seat to face forward and recline it to the second most upright position. A seat in the wrong position is the most common reason a fold sticks. The Kona is the exception: it folds with the seat facing either way.

Current models

  • Vista V3 and Cruz V3: How do I fold my Vista V3?. The Cruz V3 folds the same way, except the handlebar goes to its lowest position, not its highest. For a smaller fold on the Cruz V3, lower the bumper bar and tuck the footrest away first.
  • Minu V3: put the brake on, then slide and squeeze the grey button on the handlebar to fold it with one hand. Check the safety latch on the frame has caught. It stands on its own once folded. It folds in any recline, but it folds best with the seat upright.
  • Every other model: see the manual on the product manuals page.

If the fold still sticks

On a Vista, check the front wheel locks are released. The frame will not fold properly with them locked.

A worn locking latch can be replaced. For a V3 pram, lodge a request to order one. There are short how-to videos on replacing it. A free Tune-Up Day will check the fold for you.
