What are the Vista upper and lower adapters for?

On a Vista, the adapter depends on where something rides. Anything on top in a double goes on the Vista upper adapters, and anything underneath goes on a lower adapter. A RumbleSeat brings its own.

The adapters

• Vista Upper Adapter: for the top position in any double setup, or to raise a single seat or bassinet by up to 16 cm.
• Vista Lower Adapter: for a bassinet or a Mesa capsule in the lower position. The Mesa never uses capsule adapters.
• Vista and Cruz car seat upper adapter: for an approved capsule from another brand on top.
• Vista Lower Infant Car Seat Adapters: for an approved capsule from another brand in the lower position. Every approved capsule fits underneath this way.
• RumbleSeat adapters: in the RumbleSeat box. Lost or broken RumbleSeat V3 adapters: lodge a request.

One child: usually nothing to buy

• The bassinet in the box, the toddler seat and the Mesa capsule all click straight onto the frame.
• To sit a single seat or bassinet higher, add the Vista Upper Adapters.
• A capsule from another brand needs the Vista and Cruz car seat upper adapter.

Two children: what each setup needs

• Toddler seat on top, RumbleSeat underneath: the toddler seat goes on the Vista Upper Adapters. The RumbleSeat uses its own adapters.
• Toddler seat on top, bassinet underneath: Vista Upper Adapters for the seat and the Vista Lower Adapter for the bassinet.
• Toddler seat on top, Mesa underneath: Vista Upper Adapters for the seat and the Vista Lower Adapter for the Mesa.
• Two bassinets: Vista Upper Adapters for the top bassinet and the Vista Lower Adapter for the bottom one.
• Mesa on top, RumbleSeat underneath: the Mesa goes on the Vista Upper Adapters.
• Mesa on top, bassinet or a second Mesa underneath: Vista Upper Adapters on top and the Vista Lower Adapter underneath.
• Another brand's capsule on top: use the Vista and Cruz car seat upper adapter instead of the upper adapters.
• Another brand's capsule underneath: use the Vista Lower Infant Car Seat Adapters. Every approved capsule fits underneath, including the Maxi-Cosi Citi and the Britax B-Pod and B-Pod Lite.

Setups to avoid

• Never put a toddler seat on the lower adapters, including a Cruz seat. The lower adapters are not made to carry a toddler.
• A bassinet on top with a RumbleSeat underneath, facing backwards, does fit, but it is very tight and we do not recommend it.

Capsules from other brands

Only these capsules from other brands fit the Vista V3. Each one fits on top with the Vista and Cruz car seat upper adapter, or underneath with the Vista Lower Infant Car Seat Adapters:

• Maxi-Cosi Citi
• Maxi-Cosi Mico 12 and Mico 12LX (manufactured after 20 April 2022)
• Nuna PIPA
• Nuna KLIK Plus
• Joie i-Gemm
• Britax B-Pod
• Britax B-Pod Lite
• CYBEX capsules and the Bugaboo Turtle do not fit any UPPAbaby pram.
