Most squeaky, stiff or wobbly wheels are caused by sand and grit, not a fault. Rinse the wheels and brake with water, let them dry fully, and never oil them. If a wheel is cracked or will not sit securely, stop using the pram and lodge a request.
Quick checks first
Never use oil, grease or lubricant spray on the wheels, brake or joints. It attracts grit and makes the problem worse.
- Look for sand, grit or small stones in the wheels and around the brake.
- Check for hair, thread or grass wound around the axle, and gently pull it free.
- Rinse the wheels with a hose or under a tap, and brush the grit out of the brake bar.
- Let everything dry fully before you fold or store the pram.
- Spin each wheel and look for wobble, then push the brake on and try to roll the pram to check it holds.
Squeaky wheel
A squeak usually comes from grit. If it is still there after a proper rinse and dry, it is a job for a free Tune-Up Day.
Wobbly or loose wheel
A loose or stiff feeling wheel is usually grit, and rarely a fault. Clean it first, then spin it again.
If a wheel will not lock or sit securely on the pram, stop using it and lodge a request with a short video showing the movement.
Taking a wheel off and putting it back
Your manual shows how to take the wheels off and put them back on your model. If a wheel will not click back in and sit securely, stop using the pram and lodge a request.

Flat or worn tyres
The Vista V3, Cruz V3, Minu V3 and Minu Duo have PU (polyurethane) tyres.
The Ridge V2 has never-flat tyres, so there is no pump, no valve and no puncture to worry about. See Ridge V2 support. The Vista All-Terrain Wheels are also never-flat.
Every tyre wears with kerbs, gravel and kilometres and can develop flat spots over time. That is normal wear, and a replacement wheel is a spare part.
Spare part or warranty?
- Worn tyres and wheels from everyday use are normal wear. Order a replacement from spare parts. Wheels are version specific, so check the model and version on the white label near the rear axle first. For example, Cruz V2 wheels fit only the Cruz V2.
- A wheel that failed early or in an odd way, such as a bearing that has gone at eight months, may be a manufacturing defect. Make a warranty claim with your proof of purchase, the serial number, photos and a short video.
- A wheel damaged on a flight is covered only through the TravelSafe Program, if you registered an UPPAbaby travel bag and your gear before you flew.
Free Tune-Up Days
Our team checks, cleans and adjusts the brakes, wheels, harness, fold and canopy in about fifteen minutes. It is free, and anyone with an UPPAbaby pram can come, wherever it was bought. Book a spot.
Good to know
After the beach Sand and salt wear wheels and brakes fastest. Rinse them with fresh water after a beach or gravel walk, and let them dry before you fold the pram.
